Communications researcher with over 10 years' experience, mainly in wireless communications PHY and MAC layers, with experience in several wireless standards (IEEE802.11, IEEE802.16, 3GPP family), but also in cognitive radio, optical communications and  through-the-earth communications for mining environments.

Experience both in academia and in the industry ( IBM, Claro, Nokia, Microsoft ).

Currently a Professor at the University of Brasília (UnB) and a co-founder of Ektrum.
